Church of the Nativity
We will be celebrating the 25th anniversary of the building & dedication of our present church later this year. Three events are planned: A Pot-Luck Lithuanian Dinner on May 13th, a Retreat Day in June, a Variety Show in the Summer, and a Mass with the Archbishop and Dinner in the Fall. The actual anniversary date is October 11, 1992. More info soon!
A recent letter from Father Anthony Smith and Father James Gregory of St. Teresa Church in Woodbury describes a proposal by the Archdiocese of Hartford to join both churches together as one
Under this proposal, both parishes would be led by
one pastor who would be limited to 4 Masses per
weekend. The proposal notes that both parishes
currently share a regional school district, so many
families already know each other through school
relationships. Members of both parishes are being
encouraged to discuss this proposal and take any
questions to Father Smith or Father Gregory. More
information is available via the above-mentioned
letter, which is available on the usher's table in the Church of the Nativity.
